I started the Passive Income Musician podcast as a passion project. I’m excited to teach other musicians how to make passive income teaching music online because this stuff changed my life.

I don’t say that lightly. I started out as a “starving artist” living paycheck to paycheck. There’s nothing wrong with those who live like that, but for me, chronic anxiety and panic attacks told me I wasn’t cut out for it.

Fast forward to today and I no longer live paycheck to paycheck. I now make a six-figure living teaching music online. Not that the numbers matter, but that it demonstrates what a massive transformation I had. More than the income, it allowed me to live a life of freedom.

So along with this podcast, I wanted to write a book. At first, I was making excuses for why I “shouldn’t start yet.” But then I reminded myself of the most important thing I know about entrepreneurship:

Just get started.

This episode, more than the announcement about my book, is about you getting started. You have talent. You have a lot of music you need to share with others. Let’s stop the excuses, and take massive, determined action together.

In this episode:

1. Announcement: I’m writing a book!

2. Why I started Passive Income Musician and am now writing a book.

3. Why simply getting started is one of the most important things you can do as a music entrepreneur.

You don’t have to have all of the answers. You don’t have to know how everything is going to work.

Whether it’s starting your passive income musician business or building that course you know your music students need, you need to take that first step forward.

I’m rooting for you. We’re all in this together.
