All musicians know the feeling of feeling inadequate at playing their instrument or a genre of music. In fact, I think musicians tend to have an especially hard time with this.

Whether it’s comparing yourself to the best musician in the room, or feeling like you aren’t the best person to teach within your musical niche, you have probably experienced Imposter Syndrome.

As an entrepreneur, you will also experience imposter syndrome. As a Passive Income Musician, you will be creating content and creating products that position you as an authority in your space.

There will be times where you feel like you aren’t the right person for the job: “who am I to think I’m the one to be teaching this?”

There’s going to be times where people may make you feel like you aren’t worthy of sharing your musical knowledge with others.

But I’m here to tell you this:

You are qualified.

You are worthy to share the knowledge you know.

Only you can teach things and help others the way YOU can.

So in today’s episode, I talk about how we can overcome and manage Imposter Syndrome. Not because we can completely eradicate it, but because we can learn how to manage it and not let it hinder our success as a music entrepreneur.

In this episode:

1. What Imposter Syndrome is and my 6 tips.

2. Reminding yourself of your qualifications and success.

3. Reminding yourself of who you are trying to teach and how you bring value to them.

4. Being honest with yourself and your audience.

5. Keeping a record of all of the positive feedback you’ve received.

6. Realizing that making mistakes doesn’t make you a failure.

7. Keeping a journal to help navigate negative feelings.

Don’t let Imposter Syndrome stop you from sharing your musical knowledge with others.

Don’t let trolls and haters discourage you from serving the people that need your help.

Start working on your mindset as a music entrepreneur so that you can start, continue, or flourish as a Passive Income Musician.
