The Passive Income Musician Podcast is a result of years and years of testing, winning, failing, and profiting from my online music education business.
I make a six-figure income off of my jazz education website Learn Jazz Standards, which helps musicians learn how to play jazz.
I don’t say that to brag. I only tell you that because starting my online music education business has changed my life.
I started out as a struggling musician in New York City, trying to make ends meet and just barely paying the bills. I remember the monthly struggle to fill up my calendar. It was a stressful way to live.
Even when my calendar was full, I realized I had a cap on how much money I could make and get ahead with. I wanted to make money doing what I was passionate about, but I didn’t want it to completely dominate my life.
That’s when I discovered passive income.
Essentially, I figured out a way to start making money off of teaching music even while I slept. I didn’t have to show up for a lesson with a student, or even login to Skype.
Now, please don’t get me wrong.
It wasn’t easy. In fact, it was anything but. It took years of hard work to build the business I have today; a business that now runs like a machine, bringing in revenue and helping music students even while I’m on vacation.
But I also had no clue what I was doing. I messed up a lot. I didn’t start doing crucial things until years into the process. Essentially, I took the long road up the mountain.
That’s why I created this podcast! I want to help musicians like you achieve that freedom you deserve. To build a business that serves other musicians and puts food on the table at the same time.
