Do remember that line from “Angels in the Outfield?”

If you build it, they will come.

Well, unfortunately, that is not a reality when it comes to building a website and creating great content for musicians you want to teach.

You can spend hundreds of hours making the greatest blog post music lessons, podcast episodes, YouTube videos, and if no one knows they exist, guess what…no one will ever see them.

In this episode, I tackle one of the biggest problems online music entrepreneurs face, especially when first starting out: driving traffic to their website.

While I am talking about driving traffic to all of your music lessons in general, I am primarily focusing on driving traffic to your website.

Why?

Because your website is your home base.

Regardless of whether you have a podcast, a YouTube channel, or Instagram following, all of this should revolve around your website. Your website is the place where all of your content should live, and where your audience can take important calls to action, like signing up for your mailing list or buying one of your music eBooks or courses.

With that in mind, these 3 strategies are important to consider for all of your content so that you get discovered and can build your audience.

In this episode:

1. Strategy #1: Search Engine Optimization (tips and basics)

2. Strategy #2: Social Media (2 parts: both your social and others)

3. Strategy #3: Guest blogging, podcasting, and video collaborations.

I go in depth on each one of these strategies in the episode and give you further insight and tips for taking action.

The key to success as an online music teacher and entrepreneur is to take action. Don’t get overwhelmed by all of these strategies. Just pick one to really crush it with, and try to accomplish little tasks in the other areas.
